Shoes So Nice, I Bought Them Twice!

Hail to Zara! Long my haven for affordable clothes that not only look the part, but feel it too.  Why pay for stifling polyester or too-loose-to-last stitching?  I mean, I know they sell polyester, but they also sell very affordable Mulberry silk (which is so so so comfortable).
I digress--shoes.  They also have fantastic shoes.  I bought a pair about two months back and the moment I slipped them on I knew it was love.  The first day I wore them I got compliments with every step, earning them a prized spot atop my shoe tower.
Yes, a tower, and yes, it really is beautiful.
And so are the shoes.

Amazing, right?
To sweeten the deal, they only cost $89.90! Which, if you've read a single post from my blog, you know is a MIRACLE.
So of course when I learned that Zara started producing these in black, it was a no-brainer.

I'm thinking that they'll be perfect for the holidays, particularly New Year's Eve.  Now if only they would hurry up and ship...le sigh

Fall Fixation: Black & Gold

Fall has finally arrived!  Time to sift through my closet and plan for the season.  This year, I'm enamored with the black and gold.  It's so versatile, and so classic.
I'm particularly fixated on footwear.  I'm craving a pair of black patent leather ballet pumps with a gold 1-1.5" heel.  I know, not specific at all, right?  Well, I've searched high and low, but I still haven't been able to find the perfect pair!  The closest I've been able to come thus far is the Delphine by Gucci.  Sadly, they're suede and have a slightly open toe.  Not to mention being over $400 on sale.

I spotted a few other super cute pairs too, but they're still not exactly what I'm looking for...

For now, my quest continues, but I'm just not sure how much longer I can hold out!  Maybe one of these lovely runner ups will end up gracing my shoe tower....

Crystal Cravings!

After months of waiting, Chanel's Fall/Winter 2012/2013 collection is here!  Bangles, pumps and clutches all encrusted in crystal.  Swoon!

Finally I can sate my crystal cravings!  Budget permitting, of course. Especially since this is Chanel and I'm not an heiress...Womp womp.  :p

On a serious note, if these are my worst dilemmas, I'm a very lucky girl.

Did you ever know...

that you're my hero, Zappos?
As you may have read, I found the perfect suede booties to go with my equally perfect suede dress.
The only problem was that I couldn't find the booties in my size anywhere.  Because defeat is just not an option, I started contacting Zappos (the only store I could find with the item) on a daily basis.  The first few times I was simply told that they didn't have the shoe in, but that I would be contacted if they did.  But, this last time, LeAnn from Customer Service went above and beyond.  Conversation below.

Hello Elizabeth,

Thank you for contacting the Zappos.com Customer Loyalty Team.

I hope you are having a great morning.

I am so sorry but it does not look like we have either the black or the red in stock in a 6.5 or a 7. At this time we do not have any orders out for it either. I did a quick google search too see if any other sites had it in stock and it looks like Stuart Weitzman does have them.

I hope this is helpful. If there is anything else we can help you with please feel free to contact us.

Have a wonderful day.

Sincerely,
LeAnn

She searched for my shoes then sent me a link to an alternate seller!  Needless to say I immediately hopped on the site and purchased my shoes.  I am SO excited!  Her minor flub of my first name is totes forgivable.  In fact, I think she deserves a Budweiser "Real American Heroes" commercial in her honor!  I'll have to think on that...

I was too late...

to buy these spectacular shoes!
After purchasing my new suede dress, I went on a mission to find the perfect suede booties to match it.  After hours of questing, I found them!
Crafted by Stuart Weitzman for The Cool People, these shoes are are a cut above.  The suede may be great, and the rivet detail on the zipper is adorable, but the wooden heel and platform are what truly set these apart.  The dark, almost mahogany looking stain, makes these booties look so much more refined when compared to the traditional materials (rubber, suede, unnaturally stained wood, leather).
So I have to have them, right?  Right.  Problem is, they are ENTIRELY sold out of my size, AND even with my online shopping prowess, I can't find them anywhere other than Zappos!
In the words of Journey, I'm living on a prayer.
I signed up to get notified if they come back in stock.
...and I may or not be chatting up Zappos' staff on a daily basis just in case there is a return in process...

Are Wellingtons Just for Rain?

Not Anymore!

These delightful black wellies are a shift from the bright colors and shiny rubber. The matte pvc outer and bow detailing make this acceptable even when you're not splashing through puddles. Follow the link to find them at Nordstroms!

There's No Place Like Home...

there's no place like home...there's no place like home!
Which is exactly why I need these delightfully sequined shoes!
Only catch is that they're $650.00.  :(
But just think:  After only 2 trips home to Cincy from Seattle I'll have saved money over flying!  AND it's soooooooooo much more time efficient.  Perfectly logical.
Oh, and ignore that they're not red.  I'm pretty sure it's the sequins that make the magic happen anyway.

I absolutely fell in love with these shoes!

These Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent flats come in a 4 different color combinations, all of which are available after the jump.  My boyfriend asked me what I would wear them with...um...everything?
